About The Sattvic Life
Hello, and welcome!
I’m a fourth-generation Albertan with a love of animals, history, wildflowers, books, and wandering around the countryside to see what I might find.
I’ve always been curious. I like knowing how things work, why things happened, and what stories might be hiding in places I’ve passed a thousand times.
I love horses, dogs, quiet mornings, mountain views, and the unexpected discoveries that come from taking the time to look around. I’m equally happy exploring an old family letter, researching a bit of local history, or wandering through a field looking at wildflowers.
I’ve been writing The Sattvic Life since 2013. It began as a place to explore happiness and balance, but over the years it’s become a collection of whatever happens to interest me.
Some days that’s history. Other days it’s nature, animals, books, memories, or an observation that makes me laugh.
I don’t have a particular formula for what belongs here. If something catches my interest, there’s a good chance I’ll want to learn more about it. And sometimes I’ll write about it.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something that interests you, too.
