Today we’ve got our neighbours down the hill (and extended family members – they’re John Copithorne and we are Richard), and our neighbours further west in Morley.

More photos of Jean Mackenzie-Grieve (Jean Russell) and her family. Enjoy!!

The next two days include photos of Grandma’s best friend Jean Russell (or Jean Mackenzie-Grieve).

How fantastic is this first photo? I know I’ve seen it in other publications, and probably read the story behind it, but I’d forgotten until my uncle told it again at Christmas. Margy Buckley – the only person left standing during the 1918 flu pandemic. There she is out feeding cows and looking more stylish than I will look at any point today.

Today we get to play “who are the people in the photos?” They’re all groups of people so if you’ve got any idea let me know! I think I may have a duplicate of the first one around – it seems to me it was a picnic of some sort (school, community or something).

The next couple of days are of Grandpa (Percy Copithorne). I have such great memories of Grandpa, the fact that I was only 7 when he died and I have so many (relatively speaking) memories of going on adventures with him tells me that he must have spent a lot of time with us.

Remember when Grandma was the Heritage Belle? She was so excited about that day. She was 81 in that photo – always classy.

The next couple of days are all about Grandma ❤️
